The skies have opened and the ground has softened which will leave some trainers sweating on day three of Glorious Goodwood while others will be hoping for more of the same. Day three is set to be another cracker with three top Group races to look forward to. Headlining today’s races is the Group 1 Nassau Stakes which will be the fourth race on the card. Last year’s winning combination was the reliable Ryan Moore, Aidan O’Brien team and this winning pair link up again with strong favourite Winter. Winter is following up an impressive win in the Coronation Stakes at the Royal Ascot festival where the winning distance was more than 2l. Today of course, the ground will be soft in places so it will certainly be interesting to see how this magnificent horse handles both the course and the going.
